20 days

What's going on?

Updates:

I'm going to make a Wordpress blog because I don't like the way Blogspot displays pictures. I'll make sure to link it and whatnot.

The pant legs have been returned 助かった (saved!)

I plan on making a post about packing (hopefully with a video)

and..... I'm still buying stuff.

So 20 days until Tokyo a little bit. I gotta figure out what I'll be doing there, or more like, what's happening after I get off the airplane.

How I miss them so

Recently I bought a pair of Cloudveil Cool Convertible Pants (which are great)

They've been serving me well for my visiting-friends-during-summer purposes. I've gone swimming in them, and they dried quick enough for me to wear them the rest of the day. Yeah I know that's probably gross, but it's all good.

Anyway, I went to DC this past weekend to see Jason, and I left the pant legs there! My $60 pants just turned in to $30 shorts!

Needless to say, I was in a 軌 (rut). I tried to call him all afternoon (seems like he doesn't like to pick up his cell).

I ended up contacting him on msn, and we got it all figured out.

Currently

I got all the papers I needed from Japan about 2 weeks ago (official acceptance letter, Certificate of Eligibility), and finished turning in everything that the study abroad office needs.

Next on the list is getting the general visa to Japan. I have to wait till my passport comes back from the Vietnam embassy (for visa exemption).

Crappy first youtube vlog is in the works, lookout for that!

Tuan

Get your IME on!

So, if you're like me (which is probably unlikely, too much Tuan here), you switch between English/Japanese/Chinese typing daily. You already installed the good stuff (said country's language typing), and you're tired of always having to switch between ひらがな (hiragana) and カタカナ (katakana) with the mouse, it's tedious, and it drives me crazy.

Look no further, I have the answer to all your problems (well only this one).

How to get mouse-free switching between all that good stuff (tips)

I hate whenever I first switch it to Japanese from English (alt + shift), it automatically puts it in direct input.

1. to switch to hiragana from direct input (while in Japanese mode) press ctrl+caps lock

2. to switch to katakana from direct input (again, while in Japanese mode) press alt+caps lock

If you want to type something in katakana, and you're in hiragana mode, F7 is your man!

example:

Hero(hiiroo) -> ひーろー //F7 // ヒーロー

F6-F9 does a variety of things
F6: hiragana
F7: full width katakana
F8: half width katakana
F9: full width romaji
F10: half width romaji

Summer Time!

The summer before I go to Japan. Nice.

Right now I'm still waiting on official acceptance letters and scholarship acceptance information. I'm supposed to show up at Oita September 25th, 2008. Look out Japan, Tuan's coming!

This is just a post for people who click on the link from my xanga. I'll be changing the layout and stuff.
